Tricia's Hair and Scalp Credentials

October 6, 2024

I am proud to announce my achievement of professional certifications from the World Trichology Society, having trained under the esteemed guidance of Dr. David Kingsley and Dr. David Salinger from the International Association of Trichology. My journey began in 2021, where our hair regrowth programs integrated advanced modalities, including the induction of growth factors, PDRN stem cells, Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), and collagen induction therapies. These approaches delivered outstanding results for our clients.

However, my curiosity and desire for a deeper understanding of Male Pattern Hair Loss (MPHL) motivated me to explore the science more intensively. I was fascinated by the paradox of hair loss. Why did some men experience severe thinning in their 20s while others maintain a full head of hair into their 60s. Noting the correlation between hair on a man’s back and the thinning on his scalp, fueled my determination to uncover the answers. This sense of curiosity and empathy for those struggling with hair loss led me to pursue advanced studies in trichology.

During my certification process, I was privileged to be evaluated by Advanced Trichologist and renowned author Traci Radford. Her rigorous oversight during my examination ensured I not only gained knowledge but also achieved mastery in the field. This invaluable experience pushed me to excel, a commitment that has positively influenced the expertise within our entire team. Together, we are devoted to supporting men through what can be an emotional and challenging journey, offering individual expert care and guidance.

In June 2024, we commenced new clinical trials leveraging the powerful benefits of cold atmospheric plasma combined with Exosomes. These trials initially utilised 100% plant-based exosomes, which gaining significant recognition, won the Best Non-Surgical Innovation for the Aesthetic Industry Award 2024, featured in the Aesthetic Journal for Professionals. This accolade highlighted the transformative potential of plant-based exosomes in regenerative hair therapies. Furthermore, we introduced MSC (Mesenchymal Stem Cell) Exosomes, derived from human adipose tissue, in conjunction with cold atmospheric plasma technology. This combination is revolutionising the field by creating an optimal microenvironment for regenerating dormant hair follicles and accelerating results in hair restoration.

These treatments represent the latest global advancement in hair follicle stimulation, emerging from cutting-edge scientific research. As the most current and innovative biotechnology available, it holds the potential to redefine the treatment of hair loss and significantly improve the lives of men experiencing hair thinning. With its ability to address hair loss at a cellular level, this breakthrough offers a promising solution that is both transformative and grounded in scientific progress.

Don't Expect Barbers or Hairdressers to Diagnose Scalp Issues-

It's not fair on them or you.

I'd like to educate men about this. With no disrespect, barbers and hairdressers are not trained in skin science to recognise scalp concerns or the variable reasons for hair loss. There are many causes for losing hair besides Androgenetic Alopecia or Male Pattern Hair Loss. A cosmetologist being a barber or hairdresser is about fashion. During their apprenticeship/training learn to, style, cut, curl or color hair plus be able to recognise head lice.

I know this firsthand. I trained as a hairdresser myself, and more recently, was losing double the amount of hair daily that I should have been, to the point my scalp was showing. No hairdresser knew why or why i had a tender and red scalp, however I now understand the cause after studying Trichology. I've stopped losing hair.

I once recognised a problem I saw on a barbers scalp, when suggesting his next steps, it was like giving him a winning lotto ticket, he could'nt thank me enough. Do you understand now? hairdressers and barbers do not hold a science or medical degree. So we must stop asking them, we assume that because they are styling our hair that we can ask them about our thinning hair concers but it is out of their scope. All you may gain is further hair loss or perhaps a buzz cut will be introduced.

We can't blame our barbers or hairdressers, they don't know what they aren't trained in and they aren't taught to recognise these concerns. Misinformation can cause irreparable damage, and following “quick fixes” often seen online, like Instagram, regularly take advantage of your vulnerability when you're already worrying about losing your hair.

If you’re noticing, a thinning scalp, unusual hair loss, redness, sensitivity, scalp irritation, or anything out of the ordinary, it is wise to see your G.P and be referred to a dermatologist or consult with a Trichology trained professional who will refer you to a G.P when required.

This is YOUR hair and no one but you knows the impact losing hair can have on your self esteem. We suggest you don’t waste time and not take risks by trusting the wrong sources.
